Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

A member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition named John Colter was probably the first non Native American to see the wonders of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. He suffered wounds in a battle with Native American tribes and when he gave a description of a place he saw with “fire and brimstone” people attributed the wondrous descriptions to delirium. Tales of fire and brimstone are still attributed to delirium, but there are photos to prove that this crazy place actually exists.
