The Passage

The Mozart Music Festival on Long Island is what inspired this image of a dancing horse.  During this festival, I watched a graceful dressage performance by a beautiful, white Lipizzaner dancing to the music Mozart.  The pure beauty of the dressage combined with Mozart left a permanent impression of dancing horse images in my memory.

This particular monotype is called The Passage.   The passage is a highly elegant dance step used in dressage.
