Sand Mountains: Salta, Argentina

The most famous and picturesque church in Salta, Argentina is painted a blood red color. Sometimes it is not even noticeable because it stands so tall, and this red mountain is much the same – rising red in a field of bone dry, drab colored shrubs. Maybe this landscape photo is a clever mirage after all.
