| Glacier Perito Moreno, Lago Argentino, El Calafate, Patagonia, Argentina.
The Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia, Argentina is fed by the South Patagonia Ice Field, the world’s third largest reserve of fresh water. As you approach the glacier front, an ice wall reaching up to 180 feet above the level of the lake water, you start to get a sense of the size of this feature. And although Perito Moreno, pictured here, is the most outstanding of the glaciers in the area, there are over 350 more glaciers in the Glacier National Park.
