El Chalten: Patagonia, Argentina

The town of El Chalten was only founded in 1985, but the mountains and icy blue rivers have been here for a lot longer than that, slowly shifting and changing the landscape of this Patagonia town. The beautiful scenery has succeeded in attracting thousand of outdoor enthusiasts, to climb, trek and photograph, but the isolation and harsh winters have been less successful in attracting permanent residents to this idyllic, mountain town.
